What is Psychotherapy


Psychotherapy is the process of building a relationship with a trained clinician in order to achieve desired mental health goals.  Some goals may be very specific, such as changing a certain behavior(s) or reducing unwanted emotionality.  Other goals may be more general in nature, such as developing a more satisfying experience in life or functioning better in relationships with others.
